Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy relates to Fi Macmillan of Wild Leadership, Wallow Green, Horsley, Gloucestershire GL6 0PB, trading as Wild Leadership. In this instance, I am the data controller.

Why do we have a Privacy Policy?

Data Protection is governed by a set of rules called the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) which came into force on the 25th May 2018. These replace the Data Protection Act of 1998 and apply to all citizens of the United Kingdom and EU. Your Rights

We all have rights regarding the way our data is processed. You can find out more about them here.

They include, among other things, the right to complain about the way your data is being processed. If you do have any complaints about the way that we are processing your data, we would appreciate it if you let us know first so we can have opportunity to rectify the situation. We are doing our best to keep your data safe and do the right thing.

What information do we collect and what is our reason?

We collect a variety of information to enable us to carry out the work we do. We only work with adults so by providing your data you are confirming that you are over 18.

What data is collected and how we collect it

  • Identification details, questions and feedback submitted through contact forms and via email.

  • Name and Email address provided when you sign up to webinars or other development work.

  • Identification details, payment details provided for the development work.

  • Identification, behaviours, IP address and other information collected about your use of our website and email.

  • Information regarding your role and organisation provided by email or verbally.

  • Contractual arrangement to provide consultancy services.

  • Legitimate interest in growing a strong business network.

  • We send irregular emails to you containing useful info and occasional offers.

What we do with your data

  • Respond to your queries and feedback.

  • We send information about the work you may wish to do with us or may seek feedback or share relevant information with you.

  • We use the information to process your payment and provide the services or products you require.

  • We use this to understand how people are engaging with our website and marketing in order to better understand what people want. We also use it to ensure our website and IT systems are secure. We may use it to ensure advertising is targeted appropriately.

  • We use this to do leadership development work with you.

  • Contact details provided by email or verbally.

  • Name and Email address provided when you sign up to receive communications from me.

  • You consent to this (and can withdraw at any time)

What is our basis for processing

  • Legitimate interest in responding to your contact.

  • Legitimate interest in enabling you to attend the training and any follow up sessions.

  • I have a contractual reason to process this information and a legitimate interest to continue to use them if you do not pay as agreed and I need to take further action.

  • Legitimate interest to run an effective business

  • We hold these in order to be able to contact you and communicate with you about opportunities.

The information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

  • To personalize your experience. Your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs.

  • To improve customer service. Your information helps us to more effectively respond to your requests and support needs.

  • To send periodic emails. If you sign up to our email list you will receive emails from me with news and information.

Information that is passed to Wild Leadership

We sometimes receive information from third parties who may be collecting data on our behalf. Examples include:

  • Google Analaytics who manage our website usage information

  • Wordfence Website security management

We look after this data in the same way as data that is given directly to us.

Disclosing your information 

In order to provide the work you request and run our business in a lawful and professional manner we may need to share your information with selected third parties. These could include:

  • Official authorities who may require access to the information (such as HMRC)

  • Advisers who support my business with professional services such as accountants, insurers, lawyers and other business support services.

  • Admin and IT service providers who work with Wild Leadership, including but not limited to Squarespace, who host this website. Their Privacy Policy can be found at squarespace.com/privacy.

Where information is shared, a processor agreement will be put in place as appropriate to ensure proper protection of your data.

We may pass on your personal information if we are legally required to do so, or if we need to enforce or apply terms of use and other agreements. This may include disclosing your data to companies and organisations in connection with fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

We don’t share your details with any third parties for marketing purposes and will never sell your data.

Transfer of Information outside of the European Economic Area

Where possible data will be kept on secure servers within the European Economic Area however for certain services it may be transferred out of the EEA. When this happens, and to maintain the continued protection of your data, we will ensure that either:

  • The country to which the data is transferred has equivalent standards of data protection to those offered by GDPR as set out by the European Commission.

  • There is a contract in place with the processor that ensures that data security is equivalent to the protection provided within the EU.

  • Where the data is transferred to the US, the company providing the service is signed up to the Privacy Shield Agreement.

Data Security

We hope goes without saying (though we’re saying it anyway!) that the security of your data is really important to us. We use best practices to ensure that data is stored safely and where we do need to share data with other people, we make sure we share only what is absolutely necessary.

In the event of a data breach we have a Data Breach policy which sets out steps we will take, including informing you and the Information Commissioner of the breach.

Changes to our Privacy Policy

If we decide to change my privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page and inform you via email if appropriate.
